Welcome to the retail world, me!
Despite repeatedly telling them during the interview process that I would only be able to start work at the beginning of December, and thanks to me showing initiative and getting my tax forms in earlier than everyone else, I have been rostered on for the rest of the month. Beginning on Sunday. WHAT. I told HR politely that I was actually going to be a few hundred kilometres away, sorry, and most of my shifts have been cancelled, but I still have to work the two days before I leave and the two days immediately following my return. HAHA. FANTASTIC.
So, I start in two days and I won't have a clue what I'm doing. This ought to be fun.
On the positive side, I am going to be making more money than I have ever seen before in my LIFE, and I am expected to learn everything there is to know about fountain pens and leather-bound journals and gift wrap.

OH BTW. CARRIE. LIZZEN. WE NEED TO TALK ABOUT MICHAEL WEATHERLY. PERHAPS SOME KIND OF TIME-SHARE ARRANGEMENT CAN BE IMPLEMENTED?
