'Tis the season, it appears:
unravels, your postcard arrived today :) I will reiterate my jealousy that you have such events over there. And much as I would love to be part of any sort of Milli-contingent in future years, I don't anticipate having the time or money for such a venture for, oh, maybe a decade?

Still feeling woozy, still coughing, not much voice to speak of. Staying home from choir in the hopes that my vocal cords will recover in time for the rehearsal weekend.

Some more Five Times, from
crazylittleme's prompts:
five times Faith wanted to kiss Buffy
1) The first time she saw Buffy she was high on violence and nighttime and would have kissed almost anyone, but the thin dubious gap between the tiny blonde’s lips was enough for her to be the first choice.
2) Buffy was having another of her Responsible tirades about the fact that they hadn’t done enough research, they weren’t sure of the weak points, there could be some significance to that spear he carried...yeah, whatever, Faith was getting bored.
“Let’s just go on patrol, find this guy, stake his demon ass. No more problem.”
“I really think we should wait,” Buffy said, raising her eyebrows and looking unbearably superior.
Faith swirled her glass of lemonade and managed not to leap up and slam her against the wall.
3) Blood and splinters on her hands and fear coiling through her stomach, two ribs that were probably cracked and bruises down her arms. Faith was so angry that she couldn’t speak, but Buffy was gasping and her eyes were wild and she found that she didn’t want to say anything.
4) “Engaged? You and Robin –” Buffy’s mouth closed with an almost-audible snap, and Faith waited with her hands itching for the other girl to say something – anything – that would merit a good argument. The ring on her finger kept putting her in the mood for a fight.
“Yes?” she prompted.
Buffy’s lips twitched. “Nothing. Nothing. Congratulations.”
5) “Well.” Buffy slumped down on a plush couch, slightly drunk, her head flopping onto Faith’s shoulder. “You know, I wasn’t sure we’d make it to this day. How many times did you break it off?”
“Seven.” Faith grinned and drained the last of her beer.
“Do you think anyone will notice if the bridesmaid is a little bit hungover? There should be exceptions for bridesmaids. Rules.”
“There are rules, B. Bridesmaids get kissed a lot,” Faith said, and did so before Buffy could move.
five ways Cameron tried to get over House
1) By sleeping with Chase. She remembers very little apart from the fact that he asked her again, when they were naked, if she was sure about what she wanted. (And that he’s a natural blond.)
2) For almost a month she volunteered to do all of the lab tests for their patients and lost herself in colour changes, fragile glass tubes and printed rows of numbers.
3) She sat down and ruled a line down the middle of a piece of paper. On one side she wrote down the reasons why she sometimes hated him, and on the other she wrote the reasons she had for suspecting that she was in love with him. The hatred outnumbered the love five to one; she stared at the lists for almost ten minutes and wondered why she wasn’t feeling any better.
4) One night she bought an expensive bottle of wine and sat in bed looking at the slim album of photos from her wedding, remembering what it felt like to know absolutely without question what the right path for her was.
5) She went out to lunch with Wilson, and although it was never anything more than a friendly meal with a colleague they spent half the time making jokes about House and it helped far more than she thought it would.
