(That was the silence of awe and closure and glorious, glorious satisfaction.)

The tenth and penultimate TP of Mike Carey's Lucifer was in the comic store, and I devoured it on the bus.

I don't even. I mean. I just. My kingdom for a metaphor! Um. I've been invested in this series for so, so long and everything just kind of exploded and there were references to things I'd forgotten existed and omg.

Maybe two other people will understand exactly how I'm feeling right now and I've already emailed one of them to flail but THAT'S OKAY. This is my corner of the Internet and I damn well reserve the right to spazz out about comics if I want to.

All right, I'm done.

(I'm going to be a TOTAL MESS when I read the final volume.)

I, like ... have to borrow the rest of the series off you at some point, since I read up to book 6 then stopped for various reasons namely you going to America XD

And I need to get my BSG 2.0 off you at some point, too - I'm having a marathon with [livejournal.com profile] ryokophoenix.

Note to self - find time to finish watching past disc 2.

Also: go and download 'Proud', the (other) fanvid I just recced. It's only got S1 footage, so no spoilers, but it's so so so so good.

*clings*

Holly. omg. I think I want to climb into Mike Carey's brain and never leave.

*flails*

I've only read the first one, unless you count the one that I sat in Borders for like 2 hours and read cover to cover in the middle of the series. #4, maybe? Anyway. For some reason, I haven't been able to get into Sandman yet, but this one already has me hooked. Badly.

No idea why. *casually molests your icon*

Man. I mean, the first few are good, but it just keeps building on itself and building on itself and it gets phenomenally clever and just...great. I've yet to read the novel that tackles these ideas with such scope and brilliance.

:O

(I am typing plotpost. Yes, still. Shh.)

I keep hearing that it gets better, and I'm like... TOO LATE. AM ALREADY ADDICT. CANNOT COPE.

Oh well. I am cheerful in the face of impending doom. :) Giddy, even.

YAY PLOTPOST. *makes OOM* :D

YOU ARE NO HELP ;_;

Somewhere inside of me is a long and involved manifesto about why Elaine is the perfect fictional herione, but I think it can wait for another day.

You're going to cry at the last volume, I say again.

I haven't cried for five years.

That said, if anything is going to break that particular drought...
