Berkeley

Berkeley is such a cheerfully liberal place, and the UC campus is lovely. We wandered around in the sun, ate noodles and the best gelato I've ever tasted, and went to lots of shops. Today's haul, only costing about US$125 in total:

- Angels in America (the play)
- a book on the search for a cure for malaria
- Le Petit Prince (in French)
- QaF S5
- Much Ado About Nothing DVD
- Buffalo Soldiers DVD
- Finley Quaye - 'Vanguard'
- Sarah McLachlan - 'Surfacing'
- Live - 'Secret Samadhi'
- Tori Amos - 'Scarlet's Walk'
- Alanis Morissette - 'Jagged Little Pill'
- Counting Crows - 'Recovering the Satellites'

[livejournal.com profile] setissma? You were right about Amoeba. Wow. SO CHEAP.

Yeah, and wow, that's expensive for Amoeba! CDs are usually wee and cheap.

Oh, $72 of that was the season of Queer as Folk, and the books were around $9 each. The CDs were only a couple of dollars each, for the most part.

I swear we spent an hour going through the discount racks. If that was my local music store I would be DOOMED TO PERPETUAL BANKRUPTCY :D
