pick yourself up again

That neuroscience exam that I was tearing my hair out about a few weeks ago? I got an HD :) I'm very pleased with the way my marks are going in neuroscience and genetics. If I can pull off some very good final exam marks, I'll get a mark over 90 for both courses.

I am going to a) print off my genetics slides and b) take notes on schnizophrenia from the APA Textbook of Clinical Psychiatry, which is sodding enormous. 2.5 inches thick and as heavy as a very heavy thing.

And then I am letting myself sleep.

Because even though it may not be readily apparent, I do know when I am pushing myself a little too hard. And it's only MONDAY, for crying out loud, and if I don't sleep well tonight then I will fall to pieces later in the week.

One of the two small sections of my walls which I have decorated. You can also see my fire staff and my wooden cosplay sword, which make me look as though I am hoarding dangerous weaponry. Well. Both of them could probably do a fair amount of damage, actually.

And t'other! Endless Nights calendar pictures. Posters for the only two animes I've ever seriously fangirled, and one FFXI poster that I just like the design of. A half-finished row of movie tickets, and the beginnings of a collage of postcards. Very much a WIP, my room.

Congratulations on the exam! And also on the sleep. It is a waste of time, but I've found it rather critical if I don't want to waste more time in my waking hours doddling around like a zombie.

And ooo, fire stuff. *drools* I have just decided to fly to Millicon rather than drive, so my supply of stuff that will be accepted on the plane is suddenly limited. :/ I'm re-wicking some things, though, so they should be ok. There will be stuff to set on fire, one way or another. >:D

I am looking forward ENORMOUSLY to meeting you, Holly. I will bring my purple fluffy things and you can teach me exciting tricks!

[identity profile] unravels.livejournal.com 2006-05-16 12:16 pm (UTC)(link)
:D I can't wait! I have no doubt that you can teach me a trick or ten, too. And then... well, everyone will run away in terror.

Wait - you actually know what marks you're getting in 2007? Have I missed something? All I can find is grades, which is mightily infuriating when 82 = disappointing, 92 = HURRAH! Also, did you see the average for that exam was SIXTY? About time psych students as a whole did badly in something. *takes delight in misery of others*

Well, no, I'm theorising. Eh.

I KNOW. SIXTY. WHAT. And Cobie got all snickety about Nathan's section and how lots of people did shite in it :D

[identity profile] izumihydra.livejournal.com 2006-05-15 12:51 pm (UTC)(link)
I know! I was worried they'd scale that section or something, which would disadvantage us, but hurrah for snickety Cobie. :D

Erin & Mel got HDs too, if you didn't know.

When I was there they did so badly in one test they had to moderate the scores so too many people didn't fail. They put up the marks by nine and as a result I actually got over 100% in some sections of my test. Ahh, good times.

Way better than getting shown in the Louvre. Take that, Picasso.

Congratulations on the exam. You deserve it, after all the hard work.
