1) HOKAY SO
Who remembers way back in the day when I was in a music video?
For a long time I despaired of ever seeing said video because I missed the launch party (it was the same night as my Year 10 formal!) and I LOST THE CD so I couldn't remember the artist's name, but I just did some creative Googling and LOOK WHAT I FOUND.
(It's the video of 'Wanna Be Your Lover' by Marcus St. John. I am the blonde going GESTURE GESTURE OMG at 0:34 and I am also the startlingly pale person doing a slow motion body roll with FREAKY HAIR at 1:33.)
How nifty.
2) ALSO. Um. I am revamping my icons and discovering that all the ones I made last time I made icons have a summer theme. Which my current shivering self objects to on principle. And although I have many, many beautiful BSG icons (OMG HUGZ. I LOVE THIS ICON. MY TWO FAVOURITE CHARACTERS BEING GIGGLY GIRLS.) I do not want the world to think that BSG IS ALL I AM, despite all evidence to the contrary shut up shut up, especially since fandom is simmering down because of the long hiatus.
SO. BECAUSE I AM A DEMANDING CUNT. THANK YOU, LIZZEN.
...would anyone like to make me icons that are just for me? Even one would be fine! Y'all know what kind of things I like. And if you give me a drabble prompt with it I will do impromptu drabbles in return!

"Right," says Gaius, and concentrates on the thin pinch of his cigarette between his fingers.
(He's still looking at you, she says, and she stretches her hand over his shoulder and Gaius stares in horror as she grinds the glowing tip against her palm.)
"What are you looking at?" The boy ducks into his field of view, all bright clashing colours and a gorgeously intense line of the lips, the jaw, the collar. Composed. No: composition. Deliberate.
"I was just calculating," Gaius says, "the air currents. Based on the convection patterns in the smoke."
"Oh, an academic." The boy widens his eyes. Something rings false; melodic, but false.
(He wants something from you, Gaius, and her voice is a low long stretch of syrup. She shifts her arm where it lies against his neck. I wonder what it is?)
And just then there is a sharp pain in his fingers as the cigarette, which she had pressed to grey ash against her skin, burns down and down to the butt. He drops it - frak - and lifts his fingertips to blow on them.
When a sudden rush of cool purple fire envelops the injured hand he finally looks over at the boy and is about to say I meant to do that, you know, but he is met with a dry twist of a smile that tells him not to bother with the lies.
One liar to another, that smile says.
We'll get by.
