I managed to get a free ticket to Canberra Philharmonic's Les Miserables tonight.
It's taken me this long to update about it because my brain has only just branched out from its continuous stream of ohmygodohmygodohmygodohmygodohmygodohmygod.
I think only
unravels will know just how I felt when the last note of One Day More was sung. The things this musical can do to me emotionally are just astounding.
*blisses*

And OMG, Empty Chair At Empty Tables. That broke me inside. Everyone did SUCH a good job at getting the emotion into the songs.

Ohhhh yeah. I miss Les Mis. *sniff* Is the one playing there the old original version or the post-cuts one? Not that it makes that much difference - that song is pure CHILLS. Was Enjolras good? I'm going to have to go look up the cast now. :D

Enjolras was great. EVERYONE was great. Srsly. For a local production in a place as small as Canberra, the standard was astounding. And the sets. And the lighting. The blocking was painful on occasion, because they didn't have a movement director, but I had my eyes closed half the time anyway.
