she's hanging all her hopes on the stars
Sale on DT books! Wizard and Glass and Wolves of the Calla for $26! Booyah!
Also bought Fables 4, which makes me stupidly happy.
Today on the bus I was listening to the radio and they had a themed-music day; outer space, the cosmos, etc. I have almost all of the songs I heard (minus Jamiroquai's Cosmic Girl and David Bowie's Major Tom) so I uploaded them and added a few more on the same theme.
E-Type - Arabian Star
Not since that day have I looked in the eyes
Where you could see the Arabian skies
Ahhhh, happy techno. I really like this song. E-Type are one of those crazed synth groups that have a knack for cheering me up and making me dance.
E-Type - Star
I am waiting for a star to fall down
Need someone around, from time to time
More E-Type! Very simple pretty melody.
Conjure One - Manic Star
Don't know how I got this scar
Crawling on our manic star
cyrulean got me onto this song ages and ages ago and I still love it.
Les Miserables - Stars (sung by Philip Quast)
You know your place in the sky
You hold your course and your aim
Philip Quast. Favourite song from Les Mis. Soaring tenor and references to Lucifer. The end.
DJ Mystik - Moonlight Shadow
Sing a song of sorrow and grieving
Carried away by a moonlight shadow
I never get sick of this song. NEVAH. More techno. Lovely.
R.E.M. - Man On The Moon
Let's play Twister, let's play Risk. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
See you in heaven if you make the list. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
*endorses vehemently* R.E.M.! It's the first track on their Best Of, so that tells you something.
Savage Garden - To The Moon And Back
But somewhere in a private place
She packs her bags for outer space
Australian band! This was their first single. It's slow-poppy and I am very fond of it in a nostalgic way.
Something Corporate - Me And The Moon
But I'm so tired of days that feel like the night
"It's me and the moon," she says
This has been my favourite song in the whole world for at least, what, a month? DOWNLOAD, BITCHES.
Bryan Adams - Heaven
Once in your life you find someone
Who will turn your world around
Yeah, I know, why heaven? But the radio played it. So here it is. And I want to have sex with Bryan Adam's voice. Um.
Live - Heaven
Everything they say is right
But in the morning they were wrong
Soooo, you get this as well. One of my favourite Live songs. You've probably heard it.
Crowded House - Distant Sun
When your seven worlds collide
Whenever I am by your side
No matter how many times I have to upload this, you will all hear it eventually. It's my Bernard/Tonks song.
Crowded House - Private Universe
No time no place to talk about the weather
The promise of love is hard to ignore
More Crowded House. Why not. Love.
Aqua - Back From Mars
I am coming back from Mars, where they drive in fancy cars
And the King he is okay, he is coming home today
Shhh. SHHHHH. I adored this song when the second Aqua album came out. It's so bouncy. Um. Yes.
Also bought Fables 4, which makes me stupidly happy.
