everybody could be living their last days

Ow, my aching back. Lawks. Etc.

*drags self around grumbling*

The end of the tunnel is in sight. My exams will be somewhere between the fifth and sixth levels of hell depending on how early I can be bothered to start studying, but after that looms the sunny prospect (note to self, looms + sunny = something of an oxymoronic image) of a week in Queensland with friends attempting not to spend all the money I've been saving for America. And my birthday, which has crept up on me with alarming stealth. Little less than two months now. Wow.

Pretty -

Molecular docking is a serious challenge for biochemists. There are many wasy to fit molecules together but only a few juxtapositions that bring them close enough to bond. On a molecular level, success may mean discovering what synthetic structure, what chemical, will form a union with, say, the protein shape on a tumour cell. If you make this high-risk jigsaw work you may have found a cure for carcinoma. But molecules and the human beings they are a part of exist in a universe of possibility. We touch one another, bond and break, drift away on force-fields we don't understand.

And speaking of oncology: the absolute highlight of my week has been the fact that I dreamed and I remembered it for the first time in years. Granted, I don't recall much except for a lot of water and glass, a beach and possibly a quest (there's generally a quest), but all that fades into insignificance beside the fact that I GOT TO MAKE OUT WITH DR WILSON. FROM HOUSE. YES INDEEDY. WHAT WAS HE DOING THERE? WHO CARES!

Nothing like that ever happens in my dreams. I must be seriously fucking repressed.

Welcome back, subconscious.

Here's to hell-ish exams followed by freedom. Cheers!

Also, in my dream I eloped with Draco Malfoy. I was sort of Harry, and sort of not. We snarked over which furniture to buy. It was great. :D

(Note that he looked like my mental image from the books, not movie!Draco.)

Well, it's an improvement on that one where I was engaged to Orlando Bloom. In an ice hotel.

Ice hotel! Dreams are such bizarre fun sometimes. XD

If you want to remember more dreams you should keep a dream diary. You write them down AS SOON AS YOU WAKE UP. After a while it becomes easier to remember them. The thing is you probably do remeber them but only during that morning haze.

I did it for a short time when I became temporarily fixated (tempory fixations being permanent feature of my life) of the subject of lucid dreaming.

You remind me of Dr. Fleishman in Northern Exposure. He could never consummate a erotic dream (until one episode). You should watch N Ex, I think you'd like it.

Good luck with the tests. You'll do fine.

By the way you should interview me, I'm doing a meme thing on my blog.
