I want to write. I got 500 words done on Dare Not Speak last night, which is a fucking miracle because that's been sitting around for something like a year now. I had an idea for a random short one-act play/scene/thing in sociology today, and spent a good ten minutes zoning out and staring at the wall planning it, completely missing everything my darling Scottish lecturer was saying. I want to write [livejournal.com profile] crazylittleme's Hamlet/Horatio. There's a fanfiction competition being run by an anime convention here in Canberra. I only got home from choir half an hour ago. I am wired on biscuits and gin.

I have a 9am statistics and methodology lecture tomorrow.

*weeps bitter tears against the world*

It would be so easy to miss. So easy. She teaches straight out of the textbook. I don't have another class until 1pm. I could sleep. And go for a walk. And...

No. Nono. Bad.

Also: Ji you brilliant child um we need pretext though and I'm drawing a blank for Thom's motives *bounces like crazy*

Who's hot? We're hot.

Since when does Thom need motives?

Although, since you asked, my first thoughts would be: he wants to do something big with his returned Gift & . . . Lucifer would owe him a favor? Or something. Also he's just weird. Technically speaking it's a very interesting project. Especially as I imagine the, uh, body would not be in such good condition as was previously experienced due to . . . the amount of time that has passed, basically . . .

I should be on for quite a while after, say, 5:30 PM your time. Find me, ho! *leashes*

Yes, but Roger's body was in a tomb for nine months, and when he came back, he looked the same. I don't think with Tammy's idea of magic the actual condition of the body matters a jote.

Yeah, but also her idea of magic is, uh, OMG SO NOT STRUCTURED ENOUGH FOR ME TO USE. For example, I really want to know what her stance is on creating something from nothing. H0r. It also doesn't seem very constant -- I mean, Daine's canon really does not at all use magic in the same way that Alanna's does. Nein?

I imagine, just common sensically, that a certain amount of body has to be restored for the mind/whatever to inhabit, and also nine months entombed is (comparatively) not that long, although a lot of muscle strength and such would be gone. Um. I don't really know what I'm talking about obviously.

Wouldn't the same princibles apply, though? If the magic replaces that which has decayed, wouldn't it replace what was there before? So, if you have a skeleton or such, wouldn't it just replace everything?

(my inner-Sario is feeling suprior, HE doesn't need a body to raise the dead...I think he is forgetting that his experiment didn't really work...)

Yes, but wouldn't it take more energy to replace more whatever? Like balancing an equation. Or whatever.

(Silly Sario! she was a dolly.)

Well, yeah, obviously, but it could still be feasibly do able....

(yes, but she was a REAL dolly!)

Oh, I'm not saying that. I'm just saying it's novel-ish. Because why bother if it's just the exact same thing again?

(Aw, but REAL dollies do not do fun things like Roger . . .

Although they are pretty.)

Point.

Thom could dance naked around a fire while calling on the Awesome Powers of Lucifer or something. That'd be new.

I only half agree with that. I think you can afford to skip the meth and stats lectures. I did and I still got an HD on the test, should be less of a problem for someone who is actualy good at math.I think about 75% of the class buggered off during our meth and stats after the first lecture. Missing lectures in later years is a bad idea though.

Hope all is well with you, we should catch up sometime.
