*grumps*

So I have to wait another two hours before the doors open for the concert on campus tonight, the computer labs are closing in ten minutes, there is no form of IM program which I can use to communicate with you lot and alleviate my boredom, I left my notes-for-novels-notebook at home and I'm too broke to buy a novel from the bookshop with which to amuse myself during the waiting period.

Also I am very sunburnt and hungover from the champagne breakfast.

Not On, uni. Not On.

Death will break her claws on some I keep

. . . & I shall be song of thunder, crash of sea,

I am the slow, long-legged sleepyman & I love you sheep in Persia, California, Argentina, Australia, or Spain --

"The nails are iron," he said. "You are cheap. In my country when we crucify we use silver nails . . . "

The long sand is gone & all the talk is stars.

Let romance stutter to the western stars, "Excuse . . . me . . . "

I read your heart in a book.

And your mouth of blue pansy -- I know somewhere I have seen it rain-shattered.

Cover me over in dusk & dust & dreams.

There will be a rusty gun on the wall, sweetheart,

Throw roses on the sea where the dead went down.

Why do I wonder how you would look in hummingbird feathers?

We saw velvet blue cows eating a vermilion grass & they gave us a pink milk.

The fine cloth of your love might be a fabric of Egypt,

[/Carl Sandburg]

I dreamed I held
A sword against my flesh.
What does it mean?
It means I shall see you soon.

[/Lady Kasa]

The thinner the robe, the easier it is to wear it double.

[/Su Tung Po]

In your sight I swallow mercury, [. . . ]
In your sight wings are flooded with a light that congeals them.

[/'Aisha Arnaout]

Where is justice when each case has two attorneys?
And each coin two sides
And so justice and so freedom.

[/Lamea Abbas Amara]

(PS: OMG awesome. Sooo good!)

Helping you out

Ok, http://webmessenger.msn.com

this is an online version of MSN Messenger. Go there and use it, I have found this works in all labs at the ANU. As well i can show you a way to download and watch movies at any time, day or night, on the computers in the labs.

(I'm a 3rd year there)

You? You are cool. Also; is the Chifley infospace usually full? Because it seems hideously busy all the time - I can bring my laptop in, but it might be nice to find a spot that usually has some free computers.

well chifley is normall full. Does your laptop conatin a wireless LAN? Because if it does you can use it anywhere really. MCC and CSIT and CHEM all have WAN in the buildings. Depending on what you are looking at doing. Copland Labs and the new med sci building are your best bets.

If u want, i can give you a hand learining the place. I even trained as a mentor :P

I tried to install AIM on my account. But it couldn't read the install file and I got scared and bewildered and gave up.
