because I knew you
*latches onto Internet and never lets go*
Dear lord. University has eaten me already and classes haven't even started yet. I die now. Yup.
(Only not, because against the better judgment of certain parts of my brain I am going out to a dance party tonight with
izumihydra.)
Highlights Of Orientation Week!
* Textbooks. Ahahahaha. Mother: "It's probably a good idea to buy all of the recommended texts as well as the essential ones, to save time!" I have three whopping great tomes for biology, three for chemistry, one for sociology (h'rah!) and two for psych.
* Tutorial bookings. I have wheedled my way into organising my timetable in the least painful way (NB - STILL PAINFUL YES INDEED) by emailing lab coordinators and sneakily picking early tute times that nobody else will want. Phew.
* The Bar Crawl. The best thing in the world is Midori and lemonade for $3. The not-so-best thing in the world is really fucking loud music attempting to make your brain leak out of your orifices by vibrating it at a frequency capable of melting tissue. (Question: does an organ such as the brain have a natural resonance frequency? OMG how cool. Brand new assassination technique. Okay. Right. Shutting up.)
* Market Day today. I have joined the choir, the psychology society and Jellybabies (the queer society). I also have a bag full of lollies and pamplets and pens and all the rest of the free junk that was shoved under my nose. The queer society seems inordinately fond of handing out condoms and lube. Yay?
Oh, yeah, and I moved out :D
Missed you guys.
*hugs the flist, runs away to attack hair with brush and dryer*
