Ji, darling, sometimes I worry about you.

Christmas Eve, and what does my mother think is a good idea? Cleaning the bathrooms, bien sur! How I love the smell of pine and cleaning liquid. (We do have actual pine smell, because we are authentic and have a real tree. No half-assed plastic montrosities for us. Er. Once again, my mother speaks.)

I am currently hiding in my room from the hordes of 15-year-olds - my brother decided to have a last-minute Christmas party. He made lifesize elven swords for them, and is showing them Black Books and Firefly <3 Sometimes I do love my family.

Also: for your enjoyment, the best piece of Christmas music in the world. Metallica and the Trans-Siberian Orchestra do the Carol of the Bells. I love it.

ETA: GUHGUHGUH GUESS WHAT? The ANU wants to give me $10,000 a year to study there. National Undergraduate Scholarship, baby! *is grinning like a mofo*
