once upon a normal day
(Please keep in mind that before I got almost to the end of this post, links and summaries and all, and then accidentally deleted the entire thing, my mood was 'cheerful'. I'm sure you understand.)
Six years of high school, finished, over, done.
Four days of exams to go and then I will graduate from studenthood into...um...greater, sparkly studenthood.
I'm impossibly pleased.
The day began at 7am when we snuck into the school to hijack a few lockers, correls and toilet cubicles and infest them with hamsters. Then we tossed balls of wool too and fro in the art and design centre to create this work of genius. Last I heard the staff liked it so much they're keeping it up there.
Breakfast at the School Captain's, in which there were donuts aplenty.
Anna, Ali and Saz.
Em and JD.
Tink and Liz.
Photos in the carpark
Mel, Rhi, Cait and Leah.
Kate, Tink, Mush and Eujar.
Victoria, Liz, Ali, Mush, Anna and Mel.
Period 1 - free period, in which there was library lounging with
izumihydra and
sanguia. I shall miss my frees - never again will time be scheduled for me to do nothing. Sort of.
Period 2 - maths, in which we drank lots of juice and lay around giggling on the desks.
Erin, Steph and Sarah.
Umni, Phemes and Phoebe.
Sarah, Em, Mrs Jordan and Erin.
Final House Meetings, in which Mrs Fry, Alli and Molly got ridiculously emotional and I was awarded House Colours for selling my soul to the choreography and training for House Arts.
Period 3 - Chemistry, in which we sat around signing things and taking yet more pictures, and had fights with permanent markers.
I get creative on the back of Saz's neck.
My chem class, minus quite a few slackers who couldn't be bothered to turn up to class.
Period 4 - English, in which I got 100% for my artsy second-person creative piece (*bows to
dredpiratejenny*) and we played with
tammaiya's dog for ages.
Typical scene of not-quite-mayhem. I think Suzie is having some sort of fit.
Lunch, in which I attacked people with markers until my lab coat was a work of art.
ryokophoenix got hold of my camera and took this, in which I was pulling a hair tie out and thus in extreme pain. Ugh. You can also see my crazy stockings o'doom, which have London landmarks and little footprints on them.
Lab coat from front.
Lab coat from back, including wonderful scribble of Pimpin'!Morpheus and Platonic Ho!Death by
sanguia.
Period 5 - Physics, in which we had chocolate cake and lay around in the amphitheatre feeling incredibly full of junk. I love how no-one actually expected us to do any work at all.
Half the class being lazy.
The other half, inclusing Anthea and Mary trying to look pensive.
Period 6 - second line maths, in which Mrs Clark threatened us all with a horrible exam and we basically did nothing but count down the minutes :D
WE SURVIVED ADVANCED MATHS EXTENDED!
Yes, that IS cause for celebration.
Ooh, I like this meme.
"This is the problem with LJ; we all think we are so close, and we know nothing about each other. I'm going to rectify it. I want you to ask me something you think you should know about me, something that should be obvious, but you have no idea about. Ask away."
Please do - you know you want to give me something to do so I can avoid my maths notes. Well, I have RSI anyway, so said notes are currently progressing at an agonising scrawl. Oh lordy, this weekend is going to be BAD.
Shit, Sophie, you should never have posted this song. I can't stop listening to it. It's Alan's accent. Can't. Stop. Listening.

Question for me?
no subject
*thinks*
What do you plan to study in uni?
no subject
Science, at as high a level as I can manage. At this early stage I'm planning to major in psychology and neuroscience, with the slim possiblity of taking graduate medicine and going into psychiatry.
Nobody online believes me when I talk about science. Everyone seems covinced I should be doing history and English like the rest of the world.

"Wherever You Will Go" by The Calling is awesome for strong emotional pieces, "Sur un air latino" by Lorie and basically anything Latino helps me write smuttish things. Slow, pretty, angsty songs are usually a big help when I'm stuck for words.

-Wah, I can't see the yarn picture - it just goes back to your LJ
-I LOVE the stockings
-Congratulations, again!
-Yes. That song is evil. In that OMG I love it and can't stop listening to it kind of way.
-Question:
Of all your wall decorations, which is your favourite?
-I don't put the question meme in my own journal. But if you feel like asking me one, go right ahead. :-D

Oh gawd. Um. It's a tie between the prettiest of my anime posters, and my Wall Of Free Postcards.
What are you studying/planning on doing later in life/etc?

No More School EVER!! *cheers*
Perhaps I'm feeling sentimental. I feel like asking about love.
Question: How do you show your love?
no subject
I'm fairly physical, I'll try and sit as close to them as possible, take their arm, squeexe their hand, lie in their lap. I laugh more often, not really consciously, but it just happens. I actively seek out their company. I'll defend them if I hear them being accused or insulted by someone else. I'll make an effort to find out about and listen to/read/experience things that they like.

'Cause holy CRAP you look like one of my high school classmates. That's INSANE. XD Yarn thing and hamster!locker v. v. cool, though.

How often do you link a song or a type of music with a character, if ever?
no subject
But I will sometimes be struck by the lyrics of a song or the tune of a song or the feel of a song and it will connect with a character or a story or a situation in my head. More often, because I'm strange like this, I'll see it as the backing song to a music video about the character/s, and see the visual images of particular parts and scenes from their story. Music is a hugely visual and emotional thing for me.
It's always particular songs, though, never a TYPE of song. Though I will say that Latino music always makes me think Vampire Chronicles now, because of the one fic I wrote to a nonstop Latin backing.

On the music video thing, sometimes I do the same thing.
