I'm only wearing black until they invent something darker

Left the house with $50, came back with $80 worth of apparently-designer clothes and the $31 third QaF soundtrack. My poor little debit card. However, I do now own a particularly lovely winter top and a pink and purple denim miniskirt from a shop which supposedly puts all its profits towards charity, though I have my doubts. The lady who managed to talk me into pulling from my account to buy her clothes was a salesperson, and a bloody good one at that. Not a charity worker. You don't go overseas to buy things especially for your clients if you're not making a profit.

God, I'm such a cynic.

Drank a glass of white wine in about five minutes flat, tonight. On an empty stomach. Finally found out what interesting things alcohol can do to your balance.

Have spent the afternoon watching The L Word (Verdict: Sexiest voices go to Shane and Jenny. Best looks go to Bette and Marina) and this evening watching The Runaway Jury, which is also my favourite John Grisham novel.

Sweet Lord.

WHY is it that I fall in love with John Cusack as soon as he appears on screen? He's not all that attractive. His voice is gorgeous (Dimitri!) ...I don't know, somehow I turn into piles of adoring goo whenever I see him. Thus Runaway Jury and Midnight In The Garden Of Good And Evil are two of my favourite movies and WHY haven't I seen High Fidelity yet, dammit?

Also Rachel Weisz, who is always much-appreciated eyecandy.

*fans self* Booya. Good movie. Very good indeed.

Hahah, drunk of one glass of wine? The other night a friend of mine and I had a goon drinking comp, I sculled nine glasses down (and won). The most lovely thing was it only made me slightly tipsy. I almost wish I still had a low alcohol tolerance, so it only took a glass to make me happy, c'est la vie.

Shuttup. I've only just started drinking with any regularity, and I think it was mostly the speed at which I drunk it,and the fact that I hadn't eaten for ages. Usually I can drink a couple of glasses - or more, if it's something like cider - and not feel a thing.

I don't really mind having a low alcohol tolerance. Means I'll be able to stop drinking after fewer glasses.
