"That hurt!" There was a subdued but nonetheless outraged-sounding exclamation from the deck.
"Well if you'd kept your eyes and mouth shut whilst I was rinsing the excess dye out and not kept complaining the whole time it wouldn't have gotten everywhere, would it?" Whistle's voice became suddenly louder as he opened the door leading from the deck to the main cabin and dragged a wet and protesting Child-Emperor inside.
"You're horrible," said Ceigo tragically, wrenching his arm free and trying in vain to pull his fringe down far enough to see it. He suddenly remembered seeing a mirror hung on one wall of his "prison", and ran into the small cabin before anyone could stop him.
"Hey!" Granny looked up sharply and started to come after him, but he emerged again after only a few seconds.
"My hair," he said in the same tragic tone. "I look awful."
"Yes," agreed Whistle cheerfully. The short time it had taken him to dye the boy's hair had not left him with a favourable impression of his supreme ruler.

Somehow, I know not how, Ceigo has managed to morph into young fanon!Draco. Complete with brattiness and albino smuggery.

Good news - this weekend shall be spent staying with friends in Sydney sans famille, wandering around the Sydney unis, having a cruise on the harbour and shopping until my wallet cries. Kinokuniya, here I come.
Suddenly it sounds like more fun than staying here and getting drunk. Sorry, Tink.
