the weekend so far, a short list:
- Devouring Princess Tutu in enormous chunks. THANK YOU, BECCA. Delicious meta-ballet storytelling, mine at last!
- Agonising delightfully over my Yuletide sign-up, of course.
- Churning out the set-during-the-movie scenes of my Natasha fic, which are excruciating because I hate covering someone else's dialogue and it's awkward if you steer around it altogether. But I've managed a few sentences that I genuinely like in amongst all the piffle, and I now have only three scenes to go and then the thing will be FINISHED. It's just over 27,000 words at the moment, god help us all.
- I read Richard II for the first time today and liked it enormously; it can join King John under the heading of 'why didn't anyone tell me that the histories can be awesome?' (A: all three parts of Henry the fucking Sixth) Now I can finally get onto watching this Hollow Crown business.
- I made tartlet things out of butternut snaps and caramel and chocolate and nothing else, they were dead easy and taste like enormous Mars Pods.
