YAY, that's my Saturday afternoon sorted. Will be composing messages of love & appreciation for my lady friends.

We watched Water for Elephants tonight; it was weirdly charming, I was intrigued and impressed by Christoph Waltz's complicated villain, and my intense and longstanding love of dark circus stories was enough that I didn't bother getting too pissed off at the predominance of men and the lone, beautiful, victimised female character. Whatever, Hollywood, whatever. I almost want to read the book, now, but only if contains sections from Marlena's point of view.

I felt vaguely competent at my job this week. I am going to reward myself by sleeping forever.
