some excellent things
1) YULETIDE ASSIGNMENTS ARE OUT. I am very excited about mine. And despite the hair-tugging and face-clawing that inevitably occurs near deadline, I am looking forward to this coming month of frantic scribbling in the company of everyone else who's signed up for the madness.
2) The second important email I received today was my term allocations for internship next year. After painstakingly ranking 70 different term combinations from 1-70 by preference, I am VERY PLEASED to report that I got my first preference! Which means I get to do a psych term, and also get a lot of ward experience before my nights/relief term.
3) To celebrate, I have ordered Blue Year's Eve and Snow Globe from China Glaze's seasonal collection. I have reds, and greens, and red glitter and green glitter. Clearly I need shiny blue and opal glitter! (Although if you ask my mother, I do not need to buy another nail polish ever again.)
4) I am going to make delicious pasta with zucchini, chilli and parmesan for dinner tonight.

(I made my first frankenpolish recently with holographic craft glitter. It is gloopy and gritty and thick as fuck, but once it FINALLY dries it looks amazing)

No doubt I will break at some point before then, and use one of my two precious two-week blocks of allocated leave per year to descend upon London and buy all the cosmetics.

Plus I am sure you need to drag me to at least five pubs.

Blargh, I should become a tour guide. Far too excited about this city for someone who lives in it.
