This would be a whole lot easier if it were, perhaps, overcast and raining lightly, with an unpleasantly cold wind. No. Of course not. It's a gorgeous almost-spring Saturday that all but comes with a label saying I WOULD BE PERFECT FOR LAZY COFFEE AT AN OUTDOOR CAFE AND SOME LIGHT READING ON THE BALCONY.
I tried to stay inside and study by the flame of my simmering resentment, but I snapped and went to see if Berkelouw Books has Have His Carcase (nope) and then somehow found myself walking back to college with a flat white and a mini lemon meringue pie.
Dropping tiny pie crumbs all over the Cardiac Surgery section of the Toronto Notes probably counts as a picnic, and that is practically a leisure activity, right?
