too tired for subject lines

Tonight Fahye, MASTER CHEF, managed to masterfully slice off part of her fingernail while masterfully chopping oregano. (I mean, like, the part of the nail that is meant to be attached to the finger. It bled a fair bit. But I suppose it would only have taken a few angles of difference for the tip of the finger to have gone with it, so, CLOSE SHAVE THERE. Literally.)

Those of us who don't participate in the annual Remix challenge -- and, hell, those of us who do -- sometimes wonder which one of our fics someone might remix, and if so, what they might do with it.

OOH. Yes?

I would probably take a crack at your Lucy Saxonn fic (because it is still my favourite), and retell it from the perspective of the Master; to see how she features in his mind, if at all.

I must say, I think you would do that amazingly well. All new layers of screwedupness!

MENDELIAN INHERITANCE. Although I have the sneaking suspicion that the naming of things was, in fact, my remix of that.

Alternately, Groundhog Gay, from, say, Gaius' POV. :D

Well, I always pick the difficult ones for this meme, so: when our falsehoods are divided! From Irwin's POV! Though I would probably die in the attempt.

Almost certainly miss the train before - I would probably make it more noir, less hijinks . . . It would definitely be more His Kind of Woman or Macao than How to Steal a Million. Not that HKoW and Macao aren't Good Times. I'm just saying: it would become a Robert Mitchum movie.

Which would of course ruin the point of the story, and therefore just drives home the fact that it's good fandom and I broke up.

NOIR *_*

I wish that fic would LET ME WORK ON IT, every day I open the document and plead with it. Sometimes I get a few words done.

Seriously, the part of your finger that is under the nail is meant to stay UNDER THE NAIL. It's so, so, so painful to touch with -- anything. Running water. Antiseptic cream. Bandaids. Anything.

(Back in Syd on Sunday night.)

....so how is typing being managed?

(Awesome! There will have to be coffee and/or cake to celebrate!)

Well, I type with the fleshy part, not the nail surface. And I have a bandaid sort of gingerly wrapped around, yet not directly touching, the wound.
