Hello everyone! I am posting from the mythical realm of ~Rural NSW~ and I have vowed to only use a teensy tiny amount of my hosts' download limit, so my interneting over the next month will be limited to quick perusals of LJ and email.

In the meantime I've finally gotten my hands on a copy of Doomsday Book by Connie Willis, and I really like it so far.

hello! just commenting to say that I apparently fell in love with your writing a long time ago without even knowing it was you (on a different account, I think). anyway, adding you now because you are awesome and you write for so many of the fandoms I adore and the nerd in me latched on to bits of bio in your posts and was pleased to find a fellow science/med student, so yay! :)

PLAGUE BOOKS ARE THE BEST. Except for Geraldine Brooks's Year of Wonders which was really good for the first half of the book and then collapsed into stupidity. Camus still gets the Original And Best award in this category, I think. Can you rec me any others?
