WHAT AM I BEING PUNISHED FOR, UNIVERSE?
1) I had to get a taxi home from Marrickville last night because the bus timetable is a terrible lie and despite my showing up at 10:30 and there being buses scheduled for 10:38 and 11:08, NONE CAME.
2) Having gotten to sleep much later than I wanted because of the aforementioned transport dramas, I am in desperate need of coffee this morning. I made one cup. I poured milk into it. The milk was off (five days before the label claims it should be). I tipped the coffee out. I poured a new plunger, thinking I could run to the kitchens for milk. I then managed to tip the plunger over with my wrist, spilling coffee everywhere and necessitating a lengthy cleanup. Two day's worth of wonderful Toby's beans down the drain, quite literally.
Right, thought I, nobody can blame me for buying coffee this morning.
3) But, oh yeah, I have no money in my wallet.
Because I spent it all on a taxi.
FUCK. EVERYTHING.
