sharing the pain
Sooooo boooooooored. Not even eating caramel Kit-Kats and wearing my bracelet that looks like a chain of decapitated robot heads (no, srsly) can rescue me from how crushingly bored I am.
Icon because the current flavour of my boredom is: anatomy study.
Plan for this afternoon: cardiology study. Oncology study. Followed by likely rebellion of brain and burying of self in The Quiet Girl, which I have had sitting around for almost two years at this point; ridiculous considering that Høeg is one of my favourite authors.
Tell me about YOUR day. What's been good? What's been disappointing? What are you looking forward to?

I sent a very dear friend a Declaration that Needed To Be Declared, and I feel very proud of myself for declaring it, and am of the opinion that Keladry of Mindelan would approve.* On the other hand, I followed it up with OTHER emotional emails and, er, gave her hysterics the night before her last exam, and she will probably have hysterics AGAIN when she reads her email, because I don't know when to shut up.
Also I successfully transported faeces samples to the pathology people, isn't that charming.
And now I have to finish writing a paper on aged care.
* That's a Tamora Pierce reference, if you're unfamiliar with it.

...aand now I see my friend has been continuing it in my absence. Lancelot has just made an appearance as a nude model. What a lovely end to my day.

Today I *did* get to make a lovely sad lady with COPD happy by phoning her daughter (which she was too breathless to do) who lives across the Atlantic, and made them both feel better, and ferried verbal hugs between them, which was kind of lovely.
And I finally finished re-watching Fellowship of the Ring (which I hadn't done since seeing at the movies) and really liked it, because all the things that were disappointing were at least no longer surprising, and all the pretty things were still pretty.
Now it's bed tiem.
