three great things happened today
1) I got to see Claira again! There were coffees & ciabattas & churros & chocolate, so it was a delicious and alliterative morning.
2) I found out that I got all of my top choice ICAs: neurology and respiratory medicine, and upper gastrointestinal surgery.
3)

I am going to have to do a LOT of cleaning-my-parents'-house-for-cash in order to justify these, but they are my single concession to the fact that I have loved sooooo many pairs of shoes in the last six months and not bought any of them. These. These are perfect. They're Tony Biancos and they're so. damn. hot.
One might even call them fierce.

I am not sure if there is a better word to describe those shoes than 'fierce'.

My BIL is in his last year of his Infectious Diseases residency, and had his Royal College exams yesterday - a prelim to the big big bad ultimate board exam in April. After almost 5 months of solid studying, he said he feels like walking off the side of a mountain thinking he has to start all over again in another 1-2 months.
