Oh dear :D There is no easy way to explain it, and definitely no way that doesn't make us sound crazy, but...it started with Ji & I playing Thom of Trebond and Lucifer at milliways_bar. And then we cowrote a creepy story (http://mercurial-wit.livejournal.com/37286.html) about Thom at MIT, featuring an OC called Thomas Beech. (And there's a sequel-thing (http://fahye.livejournal.com/488573.html).)

And THEN we got together with nextian and ariastar and merged the world of our characters with that of THEIR original characters, one of whom is also called Thomas (Moore). So the whole kerfuffle ended up being called the Thomasine Mystique because it has two Thomases, a Thom...and Henry. There's a whole lot of random email-fic set in the universe including a very long one about Henry and Thom, but really, it is probably of very limited interest to anyone not-us.
