feelin' BUSY
Okay. My mother has decided to PLAN MY LIFE for me. Joy. I am handing in my resume at the IGA tomorrow and *hopefully* will be accepted to work the Sunday morning shift. I wanted to do Tuesday afternoon as well but if we continue with our charming gym plans then I haveno free afternoons except Friday. Which I can probably get, because who wants to work on a Friday night? *waves goodbye to social life sadly* Mother is also organising me PROPER driving lessons because I am slack and a crap driver and she wants me to get my Ps as soon as I turn 17, so I can drive myself and others places. She's only got a year to take advantage of me before I LEAVE HOME *cheers*. I'm helping with the cooking every night now in an attempt to build up a vague repertoire of dishes. I can make chicken stirfry in my sleep, and can pass off a respectable lentil curry, lamb balti, macaroni cheese meatloaf and a couple of other things.
Plus there's cake-from-a-box. Always a good fallback.
I'm going to have to take at least three tests a week early due to overseas trip, which is not an appealing prospect. But at least now I have an almost-job I can save up monies for when we do go overseas! I told my mother that Forbidden Planet has a LOTR section and she immediately agreed to take me there. Heh.
Eujar? If the sleepover is not possible then can I come over for Saturday instead? Or is that equally impossible? My mother sympathises with you and has made me the dubiously reassuring promise that she will never agree to a sleepover and then cancel it. She'll just flat out refuse to let me have one ever. I'm not quite sure who has the better deal.
I have Physics Olympiad to study for (damn Mrs Gilmour) and NYSF to panic about as well. Mr Kent wants me to do Chemistry Olympiad too (HELL no). Oh the joys of being loved by the science department. I am beginning to understand how you feel, Annie. It IS like being a performing monkey.
