lift you up

[livejournal.com profile] loneraven made an excellent post in response to this meme-idea-thing, stating that she can't leave a predicate hanging; I concur. Join in, even if it's a day late! This is the kind of post it's impossible not to smile while composing.

I love that [livejournal.com profile] ryokophoenix and I lived in each other's pockets all across Europe for seven weeks and not only did we not murder each other, she's still the person on whose bed I collapse in order to whine about my bad days and watch TV and discuss Merlin fic ideas. I love that [livejournal.com profile] stars_like_dust and I are the Glinda and Elphaba of fashion taste and yet we can go shopping together with the same ease that we co-write pilotfic and squeal about Vienna Teng. I love that [livejournal.com profile] ariastar and I have the same brain. I love that I have known [livejournal.com profile] crazylittleme for long enough that we have watched each other grow up. And I love that [livejournal.com profile] schiarire is my Person no matter how far away she is.

I love that I could have kept writing that paragraph indefinitely, because I have met so many amazing people through fandom.

I love the way it feels to stop thinking with my brain and let my body do it instead, whether it be conducting a choral piece with the hand not turning the pages of my textbooks or breaking into an absent tap routine in the middle of a supermarket simply because the beat of the piped music has caught the attention of my feet.

I love red wine and most especially Chianti Classico.

I love that I have been writing for almost a decade and I'm terribly proud of where I am, and I love that I have most of my life in which to improve further.

I love the song 'Kingsword' by Heather Gale and the way my voice follows the descant, and the fact that it can elicit all my childhood enthusiasm for the Arthurian tragedy as well as my more recent Merlin fannishness.

I love sunsets that combine implausible colours; the effortless shift from apricot into pale slate blue.

I love potential in all things.
