The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi! Which I am sure I've told you to watch. It has non-linear storytelling and it's kind of urban fantasy and kind of...not...and at one stage one of the characters stars in a school production of ROS & GUIL ARE DEAD. So of course I'm writing an extremely meta fic about the show and to what extent it echoes the themes of that play.

It's only 13 (short) episodes long! So I would actually encourage you to watch it before reading the Naruto manga, or possibly at the same time as (because Naruto is SO LONG you will probably need breaks from it occasionally :D).
