It has come to my attention that I am never, ever going to be able to keep up with all the shows that I'd like to (I can't download anything when I'm at uni, I only get two more weeks off between now and the end of the year -- one of these will be full-time Med Revue rehearsals, and the other will be full-time work experience at a general practice -- and I will be in Europe over the entire summer) also that I probably watch way too much TV, period. To that end I am breaking up with Supernatural, SGA & Grey's Anatomy.

Of course, this still leaves BSG and Avatar (both of which are finishing soon), Doctor Who and Torchwood (thus proving that show quality does not factor as highly as it should in these decisions), House, HIMYM, Bones & Pushing Daisies. I doubt I could quit HIMYM or Bones even if inarguable evidence was released that they cause lung cancer. DAMN YOU, ADDICTIVE TELEVISION.

Now I just need to find time to write.

Hahah. Hah.

I think that this is the paradox of fandom - you love shows, you get sucked into shows, you get sucked into the fandoms, you learn about new shows, and so on and so forth. I'm glad you stuck with Avatar, though - too many people I know who were into that show started giving up during the long hiatus.

BTW, to put some context on the random comment, I just recently found the eyai 'verse fic through a series of randomly serendipitous links on my flist and am thoroughly entranced by it. So just in case you see some comments pop up from me, that's what it is. Hello!

Avatar is probably one of the best-quality shows I follow. And I love it beyond words. No way would I drop it!

And hello :D Glad you're having fun with the eyai stuff.

Yep, it really is. It's one of those shows than can be both straight-forward, multi-layered and tons of fun, occasionally all at the same time. Not to mention the actual character development and continuity, which is...well...awesome.

I'm breaking up with Supernatural, too. Not to say that I'll never watch it again, but I realized the other day that I haven't watched any of the post-strike episodes and I don't care, so that's probably saying something.

They'd have to pry Bones and HIMYM out of my cold, dead fingers, though.

Yeah, that's pretty much the realisation I had as well, and it holds true for SGA and Grey's as well. I haven't watched any House post-strike but that's only because of lack of availability. I WILL. ONE DAY. My love remains strong.
