You may recall a while ago I wrote a short & strange Doctor/Master fic called Mendelian Inheritance -- well,![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
ariastar, light of my life and bane of my soul, etc. etc., has taken the basic idea of Gallifreyan semantics being about close juxtaposition of concept and has flown with it to create something amazing.
fear of the dark -- Doctor/Master
A certain linguistic tense, now lost, describes things that used to always be, and now never are. Travel between dimensions. Paradoxes fixable without the unnecessary fuss of screaming and death and reality rending. A certain sort of databank immortality, thousands of souls with a unique print of Time Lord DNA ready to be called back to breathing life in a new body at the least thought.
