It's a cold rainy Monday morning and I have a lab at 8:30 but am I feeling grumpy about it? NO. Because a_white_rain linked to this doodle by shashinboku and I have been grinning like a crazy person for at least 45 minutes straight. SUBARU. AND TEN. I CANNOT IMAGINE A COMBINATION MORE ADORABLE THAN THAT.

Can you imagine Subaru as a companion for Ten, though, they'd just end up going to a bar somewhere and getting totally shitfaced while complaining about their respective sadistic boyfriends.

The new ones are only really enjoyable if you grew up watching the old ones, I think. Or if you have an incredibly high threshold for bad dialogue.

BUT THE OLD ONES ARE GREAT. (She says, having grown up with them. Um. I honestly don't know what they'd seem like to someone coming at them entirely fresh! But I stand by my assessment of 'GREAT'.)

Watch the classic trilogy, because when people talk about the Star Wars phenomenon THAT is what they're talking about.

Actually I remember reading somewhere that children -- say, under 15s -- really like the new movies. And then I thought about it, and how Generation X(wing) which make up the SW fan-clubs and enthusiasm etc., were around that age when the original trilogy came out. We still watch the classic trilogy for the nostalgia and as you said, growing up with them, but we're probably a bit too old to buy into the new trilogy but if you think about the whole movie series as being targeted for a younger demograph, it works.

(I still like TESB best of all, but XD)
