1. Dammit, now I have to worldbuild. Um. That is one of those things that I am hoping other people could explore, but pretty much anything that is a menial job and under the direct supervision of humans. So...a lot of physical labour, factory work/mass production of clothing etc.

2. There are! I expect there are lots!Just not in this story, because Will doesn't really come into contact with them. I guess there could be some male eyai at the Gallows? But Will made friends with Louisa, and while he may well know the others by sight and name, his interaction with them didn't fall between the bounds of this particular story.
