Remember that time I went totally insane and told you to bury me in one-sentence fic prompts? I am writing every single one of them, but the Semagic draft is getting very very cluttered and so I'm going to unload the ones I've already done. Please note that all of the Doctor Who ones were written long before 'Utopia' was aired, so they're quite out of date.

(Apropos of nothing whatsoever, I am always ridiculously pleased by the way the background of this icon looks like a painting by Turner. You know? Turner? Okay.)





Arthurian - Arthur/Morgan - for tahira_saki

Arthur will manage to avoid recalling that night right up until Mordred calls him a narcissist; then he will remember with an abrupt start the sensation of looking into eyes the exact shade of his own.

Avatar - Sokka/Ty Lee - for crazylittleme

Sokka blinks at the girl's smug grin in something approaching awe and wonders what else he can bet her she couldn't put her foot behind.

Avatar - Sokka/the ladiez & Toph/pwnery - for loki013

As Toph walks away, muttering very insulting things about boys who couldn't deliver a compliment to save their lives, Sokka wonders woefully why his totally awesome poetry skills have to curl up and die in the face of her calm blank gaze.

Rose has no idea what to expect first-date-wise from someone like Mickey Smith - they practically grew up together, they know all the same places, how original can he really be? - but he surprises her by dragging her apologetically out of bed at a really stupid hour of the morning and taking her down to the Covent Garden markets to watch the shipments of fresh flowers and vegetables being laid out.

It turns out that the Doctor knows more than one type of dance, but Rose can't quite bring herself to be enthusiastic about the belly-slapping waltz-cum-tapdance he shows her, even if does (as he hastens to assure her) lose a certain something when performed by a being with less than five arms.

After being assured that any civil unions taking place outside of the Milky Way have no legal standing upon Earth (according to some subheading of some edict that the Doctor takes great pleasure in reading aloud from a giant, leather-bound book), Rose is more than happy to visit Hee'ex IV; the mandatory marriage ceremony is a small price to pay for the really fantastic shopping.

He had always thought that there wasn't a lot to beat it travels in time, but this tanned boy (something familiar about him - something to do with loss) stands with his hands caressing the wheel (and that's familiar too) and talks about travelling between life and death, and the Doctor aches with envy.

Firefly - Mal/Inara - for carrielh

Inara quickly learns to associate each type of incense stick with the face Mal makes when he enters her shuttle, and then learns to exploit that knowledge: sandalwood when asking him a favour, musk if she wants her privacy, and jasmine for the unsteadiness of his breath and the millisecond of bare desire that enters his eyes.

Grey's Anatomy - Izzie/Meredith - for pirateygoodness

Izzie's coping mechanism is to bake and Meredith's is to drink too much, so after an extensive argument they combine forces and show up at Cristina's door with a chocolate cake soaked in rum, an Alanis Morissette CD, and matching smears of icing on their lips that make Cristina roll her eyes.

Hard Core Logo - Joe/Billy - for brynnmck

Billy finds himself singing under his breath during Joe's shit-poor excuse for a funeral, some weird hybrid of a HCL song and a new set of riffs that's been running through his head, and he feels kinda bad about it until he decides that it's exactly what the asshole would have wanted.

Howl's Moving Castle - Howl/Sophie - for bookelfe

"You have to save me," Howl mutters, hiding behind Sophie as his sister bears down upon them with an expression of doting baby-enthusiasm; Sophie rolls her eyes, adjusts the blankets around Morgan's face, and kicks her husband discreetly in the ankle.

Larklight - Jack Havock/Myrtle Mumby - for bookelfe

Art is horrified upon discovering the soppiness of the lengthy entries in his sister's diary detailing the virtues and attractions of Captain Jack Havock, but that horror pales in comparison with the day when he unearths one of Jack's letters to her.

The entirety of Larklight is a mess of planning and flowers and seating arrangements for far too many months, and Jack grows very grateful for his future brother-in-law's knack of steering them both away through the house's nooks and crannies bare minutes before a rash of wedding talk breaks out.

Later, Myrtle will be able to reel off expertly the number of things that went wrong during the wedding - beginning with the way Ssilissa's bridesmaid dress sustained several rips from the enthusiastic lashing of her tail, and ending with the bizarre scientific tangent that her father wandered down during his toast at the reception - but Jack won't be able to remember anything beyond the way she looked when she appeared at the other end of the aisle.

Jack has only managed to undo a third of the baffling amount of hooks and ribbons that comprise his new wife's wedding dress when Art's voice bawls something about spiders! and come quick!, accompanied by some frantic thumping on the door of the room, and Jack wonders exactly what he did to the universe to deserve this.

Lucifer recognises one of his own failings in the forcible urge he has to fight Moriel's battles for him - watching him argue vividly with Michael, for at this stage the dissent is no more than vocal - and another in the fact that it is, inevitably, his battle that is being fought.

Milliways - Fleur/anyone - for wickedtrue

Fleur enjoys flirting with Nymphadora in public largely on account of the split second of confused lust that appears in Bernard's eyes before he scowls at her.

Pirates of the Caribbean - Barbossa/Elizabeth - for copinggoggles

Barbossa is one of the best weapons in Elizabeth's arsenal, and she soon perfects the exact mixture of flirtation and bribery required for him to sarcastically shout down any of the Brethren who question her authority.

Every time Elizabeth drew a sword or harshened her voice, she felt herself grow futher away from the girl that Will Turner fell in love with; she wonders sometimes if she wasn't testing the bounds of his acceptance, giving him excuses to leave, because she was just a little scared by the magnitude of what she saw when he looked at her.

Jack puts on a show of great affront upon hearing that he missed their wedding, and insists - drinks all round! - on kissing first the bride and then the groom with rum-soaked enthusiasm.

After a day (or maybe a week) in the Locker, Jack was unnerved by the way two of him - the two he'd privately dubbed Shirtless One and Mumbling One - kept groping each other; he thought it was the most disturbing thing he'd ever seen until he discovered just what Furtive One was getting up to with that goat.

Pirates of the Caribbean - Barbossa/Pearl - for copinggoggles

It takes the better part of ten days for Barbossa to sow enough uncertainty that a mutiny is possible, only an hour to cast anchor while Jack is ashore, and all of three seconds to reaccustom himself to the texture of the Pearl's wheel.

The Phantom of the Opera - Carlotta/Piangi - for genarti

Carlotta is nowhere near as blind to the falseness of the flattery that surrounds her as everyone thinks she is, and she adores Piangi for the way he bows and praises her and means every single word.
