personal canon meme

Chidder (Discworld) for [livejournal.com profile] minkhollow

1. He goes through periods of really liking Ptraci. And then periods of really disliking her. And then periods of being distracted by her boobs and forgetting why he was pissed off in the first place.
2. He's smart but hates studying - he passed all of his theory exams by stealing Arthur's flashcards, and all of his practical ones through having an excellent gift for improvisation.
3. Actually, he thinks he'd make a very dashing pirate.

Jeff (Coupling) for [livejournal.com profile] bookelfe

1. He attached himself to Steve, like an emotionally starved limpet, in high school. And they've been best friends ever since. (Note: this was not actually Jeff's idea, even though - to this day - he thinks it was. It was Steve's. Steve was in desperate need of a friend who made him look good in comparison, so that Molly Harrison would talk to him. Jeff was PERFECT. He was also, to Steve's surprise, a very good friend.)
2. Jeff thought he might be attracted to Sally for a while, but then he had a very traumatic dream involving her, his own mother, and pair of bright green shorts, and woke up terrified of EVER TOUCHING HER EVER. Now he just fakes it (because otherwise Patrick would be offended).
3. Lesbos did live up to expectations. (Yeah. Yeah.) He hasn't told the guys yet. He suspects they won't believe him.

Leoben (BSG) for [livejournal.com profile] liminalliz

1. Leoben Conoy was a weapon smuggler. He was good at it, too. At first he found getting stuck in a weapons cache and slowly killed by the radiation to be very ironic, but by the time the Fleet showed up he was just annoyed.
2. He found D'Anna's disintegration fascinating, and he always has. Every cycle she is prouder; every cycle she has further to fall.
3. He is in love with Kara Thrace. This was not part of the plan.

Azula (Avatar) for [livejournal.com profile] liminalliz

1. Blood means a lot to her, but capability means more. (She's actually quite egalatarian, for an aristocrat. But she's also clever enough to realise that her family's bloodlines have been ruthlessly channeled to ensure that their power is supreme in terms both political and literal.)
2. The only man she trusts is her father.
3. She sleeps well. She has no regrets. To bend lightning requires peace of mind, and Azula's mind has always been as peaceful as her spirit is given to war.

Kara (BSG) for [livejournal.com profile] pirateygoodness

1. She did not see a mother in Admiral Cain. She saw what her mother wanted to be; and whan that failed, what her mother wanted her to be.
2. Everything about her relationship with Zak was a surprise except for the fact that he was taken from her. She'd been half-expecting it ever since he first kissed her and she found herself kissing back.
3. She will never, ever, ever tell Lee the extent of what he means to her. (Half of this is Starbuck being stubborn. The other half is fear.)

Malcolm Reynolds (Firefly) for [livejournal.com profile] samgrrrl

1. Poking Atherton Wing in the stomach with a sword was possibly the most fun he'd ever had in his entire life.
2. There were at least two times during the war when he saved Zoe's life but hasn't ever told her about it, because they make a quiet thing out of the fact that they each saved each other four times. And they like the equality. (Also, he has a suspicion that if he ever starts adding to the tally, Zoe will pull fifteen separate incidents out of HER memory, and...that'll just be embarrassing.)
3. He made a habit of picking up things in Inara's shuttle and pretending not to know what they were, just so that she could sigh and pull them out of his hands and he could catch the scent of her skin.

Stanley Raymond Kowalski (due South) for [livejournal.com profile] villainny

1. Stella made him read a handful of classics in return for his attempts to correct her shocking taste in music - and to his horror, he really enjoyed Pride & Prejudice.
2. Inside of him is a twelve-year-old boy who is convinced that one day he and Stella will be together, because he's in love with her and she's in love with him, and...that's the way things are supposed to go. Not even fifteen years of policing can quite shake that boy's belief in happy endings.
3. He is determined to one day, one day, get Fraser into a pair of nice jeans and a well-cut polo shirt, and then attach himself smugly to the guy's elbow and see how many dirty jealous looks he can score in a single day. He has no fear at all that Fraser will pick up on any of these looks. And he has a page of his notebook left blank so that he can tally them.

Darren Nichols & Geoffrey Tennant (Slings & Arrows) for [livejournal.com profile] unravels

1. They met in an English class on Jacobean theatre, and bonded over their mutual dislike of the sixty-year-old lecturer who stammered through Webster's monologues.
2. The duel in the quadrangle was over the delivery of a line. Darren felt that Geoffrey was mangling the subtext, and Geoffrey felt that Darren was seeing subtext where THERE WAS NOTHING BUT FUCKING TEXT. Things escalated.
3. Closing night of Twelfth Night, their senior year, they both got hideously smashed on cheap champagne; Geoffrey wandered around the half-dark stage slurring the 'make me a willow cabin' speech and Darren laughed and laughed and grabbed his arm to stop him from falling off the thrust. And then they made out for half an hour before Geoffrey passed out. They have never spoken of this.

John Sheppard (SGA) for [livejournal.com profile] tropes

1. The jumpers are fantastic, but sometimes he misses the challenge of normal planes. For someone who was trained to fight gravity with just his instincts and a metal bird, hyperspace jumps and all that...stuff...well, they can feel a bit like cheating, you know?
2. He had a sex dream about Elizabeth once. It involved her desk. He was extra-silent around her for a week afterwards, and tried to avoid going anywhere near her office.
3. He and Rodney actually have very similar taste when it comes to some things, but John makes a point of disagreeing with him as often as possible because their arguments are usually the highlight of his day. And he's keeping count of the number of times he's actually managed to render Rodney speechless.

Meredith Grey (Grey's Anatomy) for [livejournal.com profile] lone_lilly

1. Meredith has an intermediate stage of drunkenness where she gets angry with everything. However, she usually drinks enough fast enough that she is only at this stage for about thirty seconds before moving on to the stage where she tends to have unwise sex and giggle a lot.
2. She spends half of her future-fantasies imagining how Derek would propose and she would smile and everything would be all pink bubbles, and the other half imagining how Derek would propose and she would spend the evening whacking him with her shoe and screeching about his adultery issues and her emotional problems.
3. She'd kind of like to specialise in trauma.

Lisa Cuddy (House) for [livejournal.com profile] anr

1. Cuddy reads semi-trashy parenthood guides as well as the serious medical ones. (She is resigning herself to House gleefully uttering the words 'yummy mummy'.)
2. Her favourite musical artists are Bach and the Sex Pistols.
3. In her more hysterical moments she plays a modified mental version of 'kill, sleep with or marry'. She always ends up sleeping with Wilson, and marrying House (and then killing him two days into the honeymoon).

Specialist Cally (BSG) for [livejournal.com profile] agonistes

1. She's proud of the person she was before she married Galen; the person who would never have stepped between him and Boomer, no matter how much she liked him. She's changed a bit since then, and she doesn't like the whine that can enter her voice sometimes.
2. She will never, ever trust Tom Zarek; every few months she still wakes up with her mouth tasting of blood and with her breath coming too fast and the sounds of the Astral Queen in her ears.
3. She still wants to be a dentist. One day.
