Awesome things seen on my flist recently

- Jamie Bamber & Tricia Helfer in a noir-themed photoshoot which is very, very difficult to stop staring at. Jamie really needs to smile more often. Tricia needs...uh...no, she's perfect. Damn her.

- Introducing [livejournal.com profile] copinggoggles to BSG = the best thing I ever did? (WANT. WAAAAANT.)

- Introducing [livejournal.com profile] agonistes to BSG = also a fantastic idea? (She wrote post-'Crossroads' Adama/Roslin and it's SO BITTERSWEET AND PERFECT.)

- This Office fic by [livejournal.com profile] mandysbitch, in which Jim takes his trip to Australia, is lovely and sad and true and should be read by anyone who doesn't live in my country (as well as anyone who does. for the injokes!).

Also awesome

- Did you know that exercise bikes are MAGIC when it comes to abs? Seriously! I had no idea! I started doing 25 minutes of cycling every morning (in front of, usually, an NCIS episode) and I haven't lost weight or anything like that, but my stomach was agonisingly sore for two days and has now become FLAT LIKE BOARD. I am so impressed.

- Tim Tam Slams through hot chocolate. Possibly the best comfort food ever invented.

- Okay, this is pathetic beyond words, but somebody needs to hook me up with the Friends themesong RIGHT NOW because Ji sent me a couple of episodes for the sake of cultural exposure and...I got all fond of everyone and amused by how it's like Coupling except with less sex and more sanity and...I am now downloading S1. ONLY NINE SEASONS TO GO. FANFUCKINGTASTIC. But yeah, I need that song. Stat. (They're dancing in a fountain, you guys! A FOUNTAIN.)

CLAP CLAP CLAP

DUDE, I KNOW. I KNOW. But I had never seen it before and it is so beautifully undemanding and lighthearted and occasionally clever.

Truthfully, though? The fact that there are ten seasons is what is pulling me in. Because I am a SUCKER for anything that follows the same set of characters for that long.

SHUT UP IT'S A FUCKING AWESOME SONG. (http://www.sendspace.com/file/isiknv)

I've had it ever since the Year 12 video Anna made. :D

You never saw and episode of Friends until now?! Is there anything else you haven't experienced...like oxygen* for example?

Um, I have seen maybe three episodes of The Simpsons in my entire life? I never watched TV during my high school years!

IT IS SO CHEERFUL AND FULL OF GUITARS. AND THEY'RE DANCING IN A FOUNTAIN!

That's interesting. For what reason? Do mean "never" literally or figuratively? What about ABC or SBS - they'd be like white meat to fish-and-chipocrite vegetarians?

I find this not-watching-TV stuff a mind-boggling concept being a life long TV addict myself(or perhaps multimedia addict would be closer to the truth).

(Now I'm just killing time before the end of the work day by snooping in your journal... but I'm honest about it! ;))

Tim Tam Slams! \o/ These definitely need to be introduced to the world at large, oh yes. Every time I go back to the UK, I stock my backpack with tim tams for the deprived souls.

Are you from the UK, then? I'm half-British myself, and I have quite a lot of family dotted around the place.

*nods* I was born in Edinburgh, but we moved here when I was three, so I'm an Aussie now. But all my family's back there.
