Good things today:
1) Wearing this Threadless shirt and getting heaps of approving comments from perfect strangers.
2) Eating a lot of very unhealthy food and not a lot else.
3) Being informed of my official acceptance into Introduction To Human Anatomy for next semester. Excellent.
4) Brynn wrote me OT3 FIC to cheer me up, and it's domestic and joyful and altogether divine. (We now now have two OT3s! This is the due South version.)
5) ANU Psych Society trivia tonight. That was good fun. I have discovered that I know nothing about contemporary music, politics, or the Simpsons. But I held my own in history and Geek Culture (our version of Pop Culture).
6) Coming home and watching Sense & Sensibility with my mother for the first time in years. Eleanor Dashwood is...well, me. Alan Rickman is fantastic. Kate Winslet is gorgeous. Imogen Stubbs has an irritating voice in this film and should never be allowed to play anyone but Viola. HUGH LAURIE IS RUDE AND SNOBBISH and pretty much House with a British accent and sideburns. And PIRACY IS OUR ONLY OPTION. I love me some Austen.

Uhm. Good things today:
- the weather today was beautiful, 25C with a slight wind. at archery, i was too warm on one side (the sun) and too cool on the other (the breeze) and i shot well and it was lovely
- writing hilarious crossovers

Hilarious crossovers! I am glad to hear it. I keep staring at the prompts that I've been given and coming up with all sorts of mad ideas.

4. I adore Sense and Sensibility. I have a massive girl crush on Emma Thompson - I think she is one of the most talented actresses of her generation.

But I think my favorite thing about it is I have a copy of Emma Thompson's shooting journal, and there's this entry from the time Hugh Grant got into the whole prostitute-by-the-side-of-the-road scandal, and what it says is basically "Poor dear Hugh, enmeshed in an awkward prostitute scandal. I shall write him a nice sympathy note!" And this is why I love Emma Thompson.
