I need to learn moderation

I feel rather queasy. This is most likely a direct result of sitting down this morning and reading reams & reams & reams of SG:A fanfic, without a break, when the last time I read any fic was...months ago. Definitely months.

I am FIC-SATURATED. I'm like one of those people who doesn't have a drink for ages, and feels incredibly smug and virtuous about it, and then they allow themselves a small sip of Midori one day and the next thing they know it's the next morning and they're surrounded by empty bottles and dead strippers and they're peeling their eyelids off the barstool.

*gurgles* Drowning. Drowning. You think I'd know better. But I keep clicking on the really LONG ones, because while I am not sold on this pairing canonically I am addicted to being sold it, you know? So the long ones are best.

And there are so many good ones! Have you read Transcendental by astolat? It's another you'd probably like a ridiculous amount.

The good thing about it is not only the amount of fantastic authors who've written for it, but the amount still writing. Loads of people I've fangirled from afar in various fandoms who are still producing stories for this one. Such a terribly happy feeling. :D

I did, in fact, read that one today (and nearly had fits with the insane, INSANE indulgence of the power plays). And lots of other ones by her. And all of Speranza's long ones, which I REALLY SHOULD KNOW BETTER THAN TO HAVE STARTED because this happened to me back when I was reading Due South fic.
