hello, summer

I love Daylight Savings. I keep on getting stressed at how little I have done and how much time I have and then I remember that we gained an hour today and think OH, WAIT. IT'S ONLY ____.

For example: "Argh! My tutoring student is coming at 4 and I should start studying for my neuroscience exam beforehand but I really want to watch BSG 3xwhateverthefuck and type up the outline for my Torchwood/Whofic!"

OH, WAIT. IT'S ONLY NOON!

Awesome.

ETA: HAHAHA oh, man, I wish my computer would actually take a hint when I keep telling it that I'm on Sydney time, and work out which way the clocks get changed. I did think that was a bit weird, but didn't want to complain in case I jinxed the universe or something.

So, it's actually two hours later than I thought. Brill.

Dude, what? We LOST an hour. It's just before 3 right now, for example.

...what...

My parents and my computer both think otherwise. What the hell.

HAHAHAHA you're right. Oh, man. My family is going to be massively confused.

Stupid confused laptop.

Aside from computer and parents telling me the exact opposite, I remember because I always get really annoyed by it. Losing an hour means that we have more time with the Americans over the summer, because they gain an hour and the time difference is increased by two hours and that cycles the time their closer to the time here. But we lose an hour. You gain an hour of daylight, but lose an hour off the clock.

Is your laptop set to American DSL or what? O.o;

I SWEAR it is set to Sydney time. It...just...well, that'll teach me to trust anything my computer says ever again.

*pat* Computers can be very evil things, yes.

EXCEPT SPRING FORWARD, AUTUMN BACK JUST SOUNDS RIDICULOUS, AND I REFUSE TO USE FALL ON PRINCIPLE BECAUSE IT'S SO UGLY.

I accept the consequences of my snobbery.
