plans!

Sometimes I am so sick of science that I want to spend the whole evening oiling my extremely rusty French and typing up stories, but sometimes I remember why I can't imagine doing anything else.

Do you mean Michael Ibbottson (or however you spell his name)?

Cool, he rocks. When I did work experience there he was my favourite. He is very good at communicating fairly complex concepts in a digestible manner.

VOLCANOES. Sorry. Reflex :D Is this for a straight BSc or are you doing a named degree?

It's for BSc (Marine Science) - and second year is the first year of actually doing Marine Science subjects!

hi there, assuming you go to usyd I did Volcanoes course last semester. It's pretty interesting, as usual there's plenty of lectures where you just watch random geology videos. I think we watched Mt St Helens exploding at least 5 times. The pracs are a bit boring tho...would have been cooler if we could visit a volcano. Which you can do as part of the Summer school NZ field trip that's happening over the summer break. It's listed on the geosci website...basically you learn the same stuff as the Volcanic hazards course...but you learn it mostly on a field trip. I hope I get to go!

Oooh, Infection and Immunology is an excellent course. And Abnormal Psychology was really easy when I did it a few years ago. Looks like fun.
