another day another destiny

I would like to meet (and possibly maim) the being that decreed that Getting Things Done could only be achieved through tradeoff with A Decent Night's Sleep. I mean, the first draft of this damn assignment is done (by which I mean it is full of things like WTF?? FIND REFERENCE! when I forget which of the seven billion vision research papers I've read this semester I've pulled the theory from, but whatever, it is sort of coherent and that'll do until I have time to fix it). And yet I cannot quite be happy because I'm staring down the barrel of knowing that I'm going to get a maximum of six hours of sleep, and so tomorrow won't be as productive and cheery as it could be, and that I'll get home from swing dance with piles of stuff to do and I won't get to sleep until late and are we starting to see a pattern?

Someone remind me why I don't want to resign from study and get a nice full time job in a bookshop somewhere and then come home in the evening and have nothing to do but read and write and watch things and relax? Seriously. One good reason. Preferably two.

I think I need to dye my hair again.

I may not be able to feel relaxed or free of fatigue until June 24th, but I can damn well have hot hair.
