What's that, universe? You want the network drive on which I am saving my document, due to the fact that my laptop is dead and someone stole my flash drive, to crash and corrupt the file just as I finish writing this oral?

I think I've grown.

ETA: Okay, the situation is not quite as drastic as it immediately appeared. Some of the file got saved. The network is back online. I'll just...rewrite the second half. Carefully. Saving the document every second word. And yes, universe, I'm going to go and buy another flash drive :D

I really didn't think it was possible for so many technology-related things to come crashing down on me at once, but clearly I have once again underestimated the enormous capacity of the world for sheer stupid bad luck.

Sadly, the immense personal satisfaction that I would gain from such an act would not quite outweight the amount of money that I would then owe the university for replacement of both computer and window.
