public flailing

Oh god I hate having to be responsible and mature, it turns me into a nervous wreck. And I've been doing it all damn morning, when I was going to be reading The Vintner's Luck and finishing some fic and studying some French and generally being my own semi-productive brand of lazy.

I think I may have sent fifteen emails to real estate agents enquiring after rental properties and now I have two inspections booked for tomorrow and another in ONE HOUR and I DON'T KNOW WHAT I'M LOOKING FOR, I AM TOTAL REAL ESTATE N00B. Luckily Q is coming along too. She knows more about it than me.

*hyperventilates*

Also: unless a fridge, washing machine, microwave, toaster and a whole pile of furniture falls off the back of a truck? That $6000 I had tucked away for Millicon is being used to buy things. On the plus side, I will own a life, minus the actual house. On the drastically minus side...no Millicon for me :(

I love this icon. So handy.

I just went through that. Just remember what you need, especially what utilities you need included in rent and appliances you need given to you, and don't let the realtor convince you that you need to five bedroom flat at the cost of three souls. 'Cause, you know, souls besides you and your roommates' are expensive buggers.

We'll import you one day, we promise!

We have a toaster. What's the amperage of the common Australian wall outlet? We have also been known to help provide bang-it-together-yourself furniture, if you don't mind your desk coming in a flat pack.

Seriously, IKEA is in Australia now. This makes all things possible.

*googles IKEA* Not in Canberra, but at least we've got a couple in NSW. Bang it together is good! I banged together my last desk!

I'm sure we can pick up a toaster for less then it would cost you to send it over, my dear.

I'll put myself in a box! And then I'll put that box inside a bigger box and then I'll mail that box to myself...

We went to one. Too small. Crazysmall. Semi-furnished, which was nice, but CRAZYSMALL.

I am hugely busy at the moment :( But really, you can just throw it out if you want to, I doubt I'll ever use it again.
