Although even my parents despair that I speak way, way, way too fast. That wasn't too bad - in real life I'm a speedmonster. I think my friends just somehow become immune to it.

I don't know about the US as a whole, but Southerners tend to speak more slowly than a lot of the country. I grew up in the South, but you didn't strike me as being a fast speaker on the phonepost. If When I'm able to talk to you in person, though, maybe that will change. :)
