so long, farewell!
Tra la, darlings, I'm off for a week in the proverbial sun, sand & surf. Luckily my natural aversion to all of these things (shut up. shut up. I'm a pale Brit who hates being wet.) is countered by the fact that Mooloolaba has amazing shopping and restaurants and I'm staying in a luxury apartment with six of my best friends. So.
Marius is being left with parents, and I'm not sure whether I'll drop into an Internet cafe whilst up there. (Knowing me, I will.) But just be aware that emails may not be read for a week.
I'm taking three books (The English Patient - Michael Ondaatje, Shame - Salman Rushdie, Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas - Hunter S. Thompson) and my little notebook in which to scribble story notes and poems and things, so hopefully my brain won't just melt happily into a complete pile of mush. If I come back unable to spell 'anthropomorphic personification', someone will have to retrain me.
Enjoy life, my dears :)
