And also, in honour of this wonderful interview, and because the more I write the more I need to show it to people so that I don't implode under the pressure of my own insecurities, and so far I've written well over 5000 words and only showed snippets to a handful of people (DANGER, WILL ROBINSON!), I know this train of thought was going somewhere, I do believe in commas, I do, I do -

"But sir –" Zoe begins, just as Jayne emits a white-faced protest about never volunteering for no gorram suicide mission.
