really incredibly pointless self-celebration

You can move right along if you so desire; this is just a little marker for myself, to prove that all the stress and hard work and insane nights spend studying and doing homework were worth it. And yes, it's just a number, and it will mean nothing in a few months time, but just for now? I'm going to feel warm and glowy and accomplished.

My UAI*: 99.90

I can get into the course I want to. I have a decent shot at a scholarship. I missed being Dux by 0.05.

Bizarre randomosity that will make no sense to anyone not at my school: maths was my least counted subject. AME. The one that scales crazily high. The one that I poured my soul into and was my top two marks when working out my guestimates.

This system is weird.

But anyway - I'm happy, Mal is walking around naked on my celebratory icon, and thus the world is a shiny place.

It's basically all of my marks for the past two years tweaked and twisted and compared to charts and put on a ranking list and somehow represented as a number from 1-100. Though I think if you get less than 30 they just say '30', to be nice.
