Today I:

* spent a large amount of time making posters about Egyptian roller polygons and arguing over geometric proofs and cardboard colours. It was oddly enjoyable.

* learnt how to make Greek prawns with feta and tomato, and now plan to make it at every available opportunity. Mmm.

* was seized with a huge desire to go to America. Want to see Santa Cruz, San Fran, anywhere else my darling flist may reside. I hate the fact that I have such good friends and yet have never met them. Mother says: buy a webcam! Freya says: I think you're missing the point...

* decided to revamp my icons. Does anyone feel like listening closely to requests and making some for me? Am offering fic as reward.

Santa Cruz: good, expensive fun. It's actually kind of lame, as theme parks go. Don't go in the water. It's freezing. Well, okay, go in the water, because I always do. Mmm, salty.

San Francisco: it's always San Francisco, by the way, unless you're writing and want to abbreviate it SF like a lazy local. Also good, expensive fun, unless you go to Chinatown, in which case it is good, cheap fun which is also kind of smelly. There's the Bush Man. And Japantown, which is like a black money hole. Really don't go in the water. Freezing. Much more so than Santa Cruz. Even small children are afraid of that water, which is saying a lot.
