well now
I just managed to write straight for an half an hour, and it felt like a few minutes. This is a Big Thing. Careful and sure, only 484 words, but it was good. It felt good.
It was a scene that has been nagging me ever since this morning, and took over my head to the point where I was at the bloody theatre and still staring off into space thinking about it. If I was being flippant I could describe the scene as 'the most fun you can have with your clothes on' - it's probably a good thing that Alex is narrating, because Jesse would have seized up with jealousy and refused to say a word. Or shown bravado and tried to make it funny *shudders* And now I have to justify the fact that Alex is narrating from David's point of view, despite the fact that he's an invention of Tasha's psyche. Ah well.
It's been a while since I've been able to write intimate, detatched emotions and feel pleased with the result. Now all I need to be able to do is write serious dialogue, and MP might actually get somewhere. Guh.
David is turning out far too mature for his own good.
And now I wish I wasn't quite so tired and had the energy to write some more, but I'm fairly sure that that's a lost cause.
