LJ hates me
Ugh. Wrote up huge long post. Tried to update. Got error screen. Pressed BACK. Got blank update page *headdesk*
Then took several deep breaths, restrained from punching Marius, and wandered off to watch Cabaret, which is my father's favourite movie.
...and now I know why. Dude. It's like 1930s Moulin Rouge with likeable characters, brilliant stage songs, deep themes, and canon slash. So utterly cool. And I, not expecting the slash, still managed to pick it up. Saw them looking at each other and was...there's no WAY they're not sleeping together.
Sally: You're just jealous of Maximillian -
Brian: SCREW Maximillian!
*pause*

*long pause*
Brian: So do I.

I really wanted to watch more QaF, but that was the next best thing. And I don't know where I could get the QaF DVDs in Canberra.
Decided that I am steering clear of the QaF fandom, though; I'd probably get shot for indecision. I like Brian/Mikey because it's sweet and Mikey deserves love. I like Ethan/Justin because I'm a romantic and Ethen is sexonlegs. I expect I'll even like Brian/Justin once Brian stops acting like a prick. See? I'm easy to please. But I have the feeling that this is the sort of fandom that condemns you for liking a pairing rather than disliking one. I'll just stay here with my openminded friends.

Went shopping this morning for NYSF.
Quite astoundingly bored.
Need to spend less time on computer, me.

brian/justin = EXTREME TEH PRETTY. this i do agree with. there are certain music video style sex scenes that cause me to salivate and twitch at the sheer hotness of the pairing. HOWEVER.
i've been watching QAF from the beginning (until i gave up in disgust 3/4 of the way through season 2) and i genuinely haven't warmed to justin as a person. i'm not going to go into a lot of detail here because i know you've got people on your list who love him to bits (you may get a private rant later), but mikey is sweet and gorgeous and adorable and hot and nerdlicious and kind and lonely and devoted and has been in love with brian since he was 14 and SWEET LORD THEIR LOVE IS THE MOST BLOODY ADORABLE SHIP I HAVE ENCOUNTERED IN LIKE MY WHOLE ENIRE LIFE. mikey/brian has been and will remain like my NUMER ONE OTP EVER. the original UK version recognises this fact; nobody goes out of character. so i reason thusly: ethan and justin may have hot young love (and i totally agree with you on the subject of ethan. ETHAN ETHAN ETHAN ETHAN YES) and brian and mikey may have tender enduring lifetime-built love, because my immense caring feelings for mikey are such that i just couldn't do it to him to consider any other possibility. the length of this diatribe is proof of the extent of my feelings on the subject ^^;: to ship justin/brian is just this complete betrayal of mikey, and if you love mikey very dearly as i do (GOOD GOD I'D MARRY THAT MAN IF HE WERE NOT GAY ALSO NOT REAL) you really can't be any other way. so. explanation.
i will not, however, attack you if you don't feel the same way. i may rant. but no attacking.

I do like Brian/Mikey. But I guess I'm not as fond of Mikey as you, and so not quite so protective. I like most of the characters, really.
Except for Ben the Bland, who I absolutely cannot bring myself to like >.<
